Welcome to Rm 8 Ms Gimblett
Room 8, we will be receiving a new student teacher in a couple of weeks. Her name is Ms Gimblett and just like Mr
Stephenson she will be with us for 5 weeks.

Tapa art for Uike Lea-Faka Tonga 2014
For Tongan language week we there was an art competition and each class had to create a tapa of their own. In room 8 we decided to use traditional tapa patterns but incorporated with modern colours.
First we drew the patterns that we wanted then using a craft knife we cut out our patterns from cardboard to make a stencil. After that we blended colours using sponges on black paper to create our tapa patterns.
