Descriptive writing by Lucas and Rico

In Room 8 we are learning to paint a picture for the reader by using awesome describing words and language features like similes.
The rocket exploded with a gigantic bang and there was a violent burst of orange, red, green and purple shards, like a fireworks display.

There was an incredible, enormous, boom and the rocket exploded like a rainbow crashing into the sun.

This project represents the harakeke.  The tui on the harakeke is what we want our children to fly away with when they leave TPS.  We learnt about the harakeke because it is part of our school vision and this is what we believe in at Te Papapa School.
